The essay contest topic is �What America means to me�. The contest will be open to all New York State schoolchildren in First through Fifth grades. This year we have expanded our contest to include a winning entry for each grade level, first through fifth. Each winner will receive a One Hundred Dollar United States Savings Bond and a fifty-dollar Pizza Party for their classroom. The deadline for the contest will be on Saturday, May 1, 2010. The winning entry will be notified prior to the school year ending.
